WHY YOU WILL LOVE THIS FUDGE

    • Microwave fudge is quick and easy recipe and comes out rich and creamy.
    • It is made in the microwave so no candy thermometer to worry about.
    • Great for Christmas care packages and hostess gifts.

    INGREDIENT NOTES

    • Salted Butter – I use salted butter for this recipe. Add a pinch of salt if you are using unsalted butter.
    • Brown Sugar – I use light brown sugar for it’s distinctive flavor. Dark brown sugar will give it a richer deeper flavor and color.
    • Sweetened Condensed Milk – gives the smooth texture with hints of caramel.
    • Icing Sugar – This is a sugar of many names…can be referred to as confectioners sugar or powdered sugar depending on where you live.

    TIPS FOR MAKING MICROWAVE FUDGE

    • Don’t be intimidated by making fudge because it doesn’t need to be a complicated process. Just be sure to use a microwave safe bowl and follow the stirring directions.
    • The fudge does set up quickly so don’t wait too long before transferring it to the pan.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CAN I USE DARK BROWN SUGAR?

Light brown sugar gives the fudge that maple flavor and dark brown sugar would give it a rich nutty flavor. I haven’t tried dark brown sugar but it would work.

DO I HAVE TO SIFT THE ICING SUGAR?

I have made this recipe both with sifted icing sugar and when in a rush just adding it right from the bag into the bowl. The difference was minimal, you just want to make sure there are no big lumps of sugar.
